JEMS

JEMS is a community for Jewish people of all ages, providing a welcoming and supportive space for anyone impacted by Multiple Sclerosis. It can affect everyone differently, but you don’t have to face it on your own. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have managed for years, JEMS offers a warm environment

Join us to:

  • Build friendships and socialise
  • Hear from professionals
  • Access valuable resources and practical advice
  • Exchange advice and tips

Subjects covered have ranged from welfare rights and accessibility, nutrition, bowel and bladder management, therapeutic treatments, mental health, mindfulness, neuroplasticity, pacing for fatigue and the impact of MS on families, children and carers.

Recent speakers include:

  • Professor Gavin Giovannoni Professor of Neurology, Queen Mary University of London. Update on MS research.
  • Professor Jeremy Chataway National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery
  • Bharwani Mainali, MS nurse at Royal Free Hospital
  • Bernadette Porter, Bowel & Bladder specialist

Meetings are the first Wednesday of each month and are hybrid – held in Stanmore and via Teams.

The group is a partnership between Jewish Blind & Disabled and Jewish Care. Family, friends and carers are welcome too.
